Now Enrolling for September 2026
Many parents hear the word Montessori but are not always sure what it actually means.
At its core, the Montessori approach is about helping children become confident, capable, and independent by allowing them to learn through everyday experiences.
At Little Land Daycare, being Montessori-inspired means creating a home environment where children are supported to try things on their own, explore their interests, and build real-life skills.
So what does that look like in practice?
It can be as simple as giving a child the time to put on their own shoes, helping set the table, or choosing what activity they would like to do. These small, everyday moments are where real learning happens.
Instead of rushing in to help or directing every step, children are gently guided and encouraged. Over time, they begin to trust themselves, solve problems, and feel proud of what they can do.
The space is also set up in a calm and simple way so children can focus and explore without feeling overwhelmed. Activities are hands-on and meaningful, helping children learn through doing rather than just being told.
Being Montessori-inspired does not mean strict rules or a formal classroom. It means respecting each child, following their natural development, and giving them the opportunity to grow at their own pace.
The goal at Little Land is simple: to help children build confidence, independence, and a love of learning from the very start.
