Now Enrolling for September 2026
Young children are naturally active, but they also benefit from learning how to slow down, focus, and connect with their bodies. That is why yoga is part of the daily routine at Little Land Daycare.
From a physical perspective, yoga helps children build strength, flexibility, and coordination. Stretching and moving in different ways supports growing bodies, improves balance, and helps prevent injuries as children become more active.
Just as importantly, yoga supports body awareness. Children begin to understand how their bodies move, how to control them, and how to feel more comfortable and confident in their own abilities.
Yoga also introduces early concepts of mindfulness. Through simple breathing and calm moments, children learn how to slow down, focus, and reset. This can help with emotional regulation, especially during busy or overwhelming days.
Over time, yoga helps develop:
Patience – learning to try, pause, and try again
Focus and concentration – staying present during an activity
Self-confidence – feeling proud of what their body can do
Calmness – learning how to relax and settle their minds
We practice yoga to give children a simple tool that supports their health, confidence, and overall well-being as they grow.
